About

Daniel Pope (he/him) was born in Warwickshire and has lived in London since 2014. Named one of Zetteler’s trailblazing talents to watch in 2023, he has been recognised for his research into Ceramic Material Systems, awarded the Architect’s Journal Sustainability Prize in 2021 and an RIBA Silver Medal Commendation. This research remains integral to the studio’s work, supported by the Architectural Research Fund.

Daniel qualified with Distinction from the Bartlett School of Architecture. Prior to founding Popelo, he specialised in the residential, commercial and arts sectors as an architect at THISS Studio and previously spent two years in Berlin and Beijing with HENN Arkitekten, working across the culture and health. He has also worked with Haptic Architects and ScanLAB Projects.
